To unlock every child’s potential as a unique child of God.

“May Christ dwell in your hearts through faith, that being rooted and grounded in love, you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

At Mountnessing Church of England Primary School, our Christian vision underpins all that we do. We are committed to unlocking every child's potential by recognising and developing their unique strengths whilst providing an excellent academic, social, emotional and physical education. Rooted in our core values of friendship, thankfulness, perseverance, respect, reverence, responsibility and creativity, we promote a lifelong love of learning that is both enjoyable and rewarding.

Our curriculum is engaging, ambitious, carefully sequenced and appropriately challenging, ensuring that all pupils can succeed regardless of their background, needs or starting points. From EYFS to Key Stage 2, pupils build knowledge and skills progressively, enabling them to remember more, make connections in their learning and achieve highly across the curriculum.

High-quality teaching, effective assessment and adaptive practice ensure that all pupils are supported and challenged to achieve their full potential. We maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour within a safe, inclusive and purposeful environment where every child feels valued, respected and able to thrive as a confident, independent learner.

Our broad, balanced and vocabulary-rich curriculum is brought to life through educational visits, outdoor learning, technology and enriching experiences. By nurturing both academic achievement and personal development, we enable pupils to become responsible, resilient and compassionate citizens, ready for the opportunities and challenges of the future.

    Parent/Carer Partnership

We work in partnership with parents and carers to support children's learning and development. Each term, curriculum overviews are shared on class pages and provide an outline of the learning taking place across subjects, highlighting meaningful links between areas of the curriculum.

We also offer workshops and information sessions to help parents and carers understand the curriculum, teaching approaches and ways they can support learning at home.
